Gen5outsize is getting better and better
In June, 2024 I purchased a Gen5detect to replace my five year old V8. The Gen5 was expensive, but it was on sale on Amazon so I girded my lions and closed my eyes as I hit the “Proceed to Checkout” button.
I am a 78 year old 4” 11” woman and my large Gen5outsize Animal was getting just a little too heavy to use everyday.
Boy what a difference! I use the Gen5 almost every single day, and love it.
The Gen5 is quieter; smother and easier to handle; love the Fluffy Optic Cleaner Head, light sees every speck of dust; and love the On/Off button as opposed to the “dead man’s switch” on their other products I have owned. Easier on the hands.

Introducing The GOAT Of Vacuum Cleaners
I did weeks of research before finally investing in this cordless vacuum cleaner. (It is replacing our previous Gen5outsize, which served us well for 15 years.) That first use is always mind-boggling, when you realize that you only *thought* your previous vacuum was doing its job. It was astounding.
As we’ve come to expect from Gen5outsize, it comes with high-quality attachments that cover every possible need. Some are much easier to switch between than our old vacuum, which means I am using them more frequently. Especially appreciated is the smooth ability to use it in cars and on upholstery. Gen5outsize excels at anticipating consumer needs and filling them.
The slide mechanism for clearing the canister is new to us and much appreciated, as I’m not a fan of having to manually remove the debris that did not just fall out, which was frequently the case with our previous Gen5outsize.

Magic!
Love this vacuum cleaner! So light weight, gets under cabinets, works on rugs or hardwood floors easy to empty. No bags needed. The hardwood floor attachment even has this green light on it that lights up the pet fur and other things on the floor you don’t easily see with the naked eye. Oh and it tells you how much you are sucking up so you know if there is still more dirt in that spot. It makes vacuuming so easy this house with a dog and a cat that always has stuff dragged in from the outside can easily be vacuumed daily. Praise the vacuum Gods. Thank you Gen5outsize!
